"What is Remote Staffing?"

Remote Staffing is an efficient and cost effective way to grow your operation. It offers some of the benefits of outsourcing (lower costs, processing expertise) but is different in that it does not require companies to migrate their management system or data to an external provider. With remote staffing, the agency is in control. What we provide is skilled and trained staff who plug into the company’s system the same way their employees would connect from home. In doing this we free up agency staff to focus on more productive tasks like soliciting more business or spending more phone time with customers.

"Does Remote Staffing lead to downsizing?  We are not looking to downsize our company."

For large publicly traded companies looking purely to cut costs, outsourcing has often led to downsizing. But small and medium-sized companies that we serve are not looking to lose valuable staff. Good staff are hard to find and take time to train. That's why our Remote Staffing model is not about downsizing, but cost effective growth.

It is like what New York Times Columnist, Thomas Friedman said in his recent best selling book, “The World is Flat,”

“The best companies outsource to win, not to shrink. They outsource to innovate faster and more cheaply in order to grow larger, gain market share, and hire more and different specialists – not to save money by firing people.”

"How does Remote Staffing assure the security of our data?"

In traditional outsourcing, service providers offer cost savings by shifting you onto their management system, which they can operate faster, quicker, cheaper than you could yourselves. The problem is that if the relationship falters due to price increases or a decline in the quality of service, your agency is stuck, lacking the systems and people to run your critical back office functions.

With Remote Staffing none of your data ever leaves your system. Access restrictions can be set, performance can be monitored and should you ever decide to end the relationship, you need only change your password to maintain exclusive control and access to your system. Traditional outsourcing can be a powerful tool for improving efficiencies and costs, but with Remote Staffing you get these benefits plus always you keep control of the keys to your information and system security.

"ReSource Pro's processing specialists are in China. How are communications?"

All our staff are fluent English speakers and are university graduates. Our clients have all been impressed with the quality of interaction with our staff. While our office in New York helps to set up and train the staff in China, and can troubleshoot if problems arise, once the relationship is underway, the Team Leader in China is the point person in the relationship. Communications typically take place via email and Team Leaders are noted for their incisive questioning and their interest in fully understanding the task and role it plays in the context of the client's operations.

"What are the key challenges?"

Winning internal support from your existing staff is critical to success. Once they embrace the idea, realize that ReSource Pro's role is not to threaten their jobs but rather to support them and make their jobs more interesting and productive, they can, with management support, identify additional ways to free themselves from routine analysis and processing and improve productivity and their sales production.

"Are the economic benefits significant?"

Economics gains of outsourcing or in-sourcing make sense only if your staff are happy and your operations are more efficient. Once these has been accomplished, agencies can save 50% or more on their typical staffing costs -- with no loss of productivity. Offshore solutions offer the best returns on investment providing that quality control can be maintained. Examine what your current fully loaded costs of doing the work in-house are including salary, benefits, hiring, training, management supervision, attrition, and compare these costs to your service provider’s solution.

Besides purely financial gains, there may also be intangible yet significant benefits to staff in-sourcing, such as the greater ease of adding staff capacity to your operation given the documentation of your workflows, and by placing the burden for hiring, management and quality control on the service provider.

"What size agency is the service designed for?"

Our service is well suited for small and medium sized companies. We have three clients with 30 or fewer employees as well as larger clients with 100 or more employees. Whatever the company size, they approach us because they are looking for ways to grow their businesses, lower costs, increase processing capacity, or because they face difficulties hiring skilled and experienced staff.

"How do we get started?"

We believe the best way to start is for you to tell us what tasks would most relieve your staff. Our experience is that most back office tasks can be distilled into rule-driven workflows, “if … then” procedures.

To build confidence and demonstrate the value of our service, we offer one month to test what we do, during which time we:

  1. Document the workflows involved in the task
  2. Set up a dedicated team leader in our operations unit in China
  3. Send you a detailed write up of your workflows to check
  4. Test communications between our staff and your agency
  5. Start implementation, monitoring our progress to your expectations

"What time does it require of management to get something going?
We're already so busy as it is."

We understand that it is critical that implementation be minimally disruptive to management and staff. Implementation involves spending 2-3 days with a member of your staff documenting the workflows required to process the task, according to your procedures. We have been fully up and running with other clients in as little as a few weeks. Our clients are usually surprised just how easy and quick it is to get started. The only thing that can slow progress is if you do not have remote access capability either via the Internet, Terminal Services, Citrix etc.

"What IT setup do we need to get started?"

To enable us to work with your IT infrastructure, all you need are:

  • Broadband Internet Connection
  • Remote Access via Terminal Services, Citrix or Internet-based system
  • Additional Agency Management System User Licenses
